I am currently connecting through my phone via wireless at Hostel Atenas, and this place is awesome! Granted, this is my first Hostel, the services are great. Strong water pressure, hot and cold water, internet, central location, clean overall and all around, local tv, and the staff are very friendly. For the price, its like paying for a Super Motel 8 and getting one of the better Holiday Inn. Although, its no Mariott. Other than initial Wi-Fi problem, its definitely worth the stay for travelers and new comers. Must recommend :)

Also side note, get the street side 4 bedroom on the upper levels for a bigger bedroom, balcony, and view of the mountain. I can see this room being a fun hang out late at night during festivals, but I wont be here to see it... or will I...

Considering it was a 2 star hostel I wasn't expecting much however I was delighted with what I got for my money. I was sharing with 2 friends, although the room was quite big, the 3 beds took up a lot of space. This was not a problem although, we didn't have any problems. The drop out the bathroom window was daunting, however very, very fun to throw toilet paper out of!! Only downside was rowdy Spanish kids throwing popcorn in our room and shouting at us in a foreign language.
