This was interpreted as the sadness of the catholic church for not having a festivity to honour the Sacred Body of Christ.
The exact date of this festivity is 40 days after the holy week (Easter week)During the week of Granada’s Fair many events and activities are organised in the city like concerts, processions and theatre in the streets.
At the fair grounds you can find improvised restaurants with music (inside marquees) where you can eat and drink during the day and part of the night.
Together with the marquees you will find an amusement fair for all the family .Most of these marquees have free access. Nevertheless you may find that some of them are for private associations .
To go to the fair ground, which is located in the neighbourhood of Almanjayar, we recommend that you take the city buses of Rober bus company. This service is provided during the fair week at a moderate rate and from midday till noon.If you decide to go by car, you must be patient. Traffic is complicated on these days. Just follow the indications through the city to the fair ground . A parking lot is located near the fair entrance.
